This 1989 S/S Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche vintage sculptural waist belt was designed in collaboration with revered jeweller and metal artist Robert Goossens. It's a highly important piece, used in that season's ad campaign and featured multiple times on the runway. It was made in France of gold-plated hammered metal with a swirl design in the front and a hook closure. It's signed "YVES SAINT LAURENT - RIVE GAUCHE - MADE IN FRANCE". The waist is 26"; we recommend leaving an inch or two of room. It's best suited for an XXS/XS. The belt measures 3.25" wide in the front and 1 7/8" in the back. Overall, it's in very good condition; there's a small area on the side where the metal is dark. We believe that this is a manufacturer's error and not a flaw.
