Exquisite vintage blouse from Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche in the designer's luxurious trademark purple colourway. Judging by the style and that of the label, it dates from the late 80s/early 90s. It pulls on, and has cool gold cross-shaped buttons to the cuffs.
The fabric content label is missing - it is a textured, lightweight, silky fabric which could be viscose or silk. It is embossed with a baroque floral pattern. I would recommend dry cleaning due to age and delicacy.
The label size is a vintage French 46, which would equate to a UK 18. This piece is also suitable for those of smaller sizes, as it looks great tucked into high-waisted trousers.
From underarm to underarm, it measures approx 65cm (25.5 in)From nape to bottom hem, it measures approx 60cm (23.5 in)
This item comes from a smoke and pet-free home. There is some discolouration due to light exposure to the left sleeve - see photos for details. Please note - the colour is most accurate in the second image - it is a true purple colour.
