Hermès is known for equestrian-themed designs. First produced in 1965, "La Promenade de Longchamps" portrays a parade of horse-drawn carriages and solo riders in concentric rings around a central image. This central image shows a man riding solo who has stopped close to a woman's carriage; he doffs his hat, and takes the lady's hand. It's a beautiful example of Hermès' attention to detail, and elegant artistry of legendary designer Philippe Ledoux. It is made of Hermès' renown thick silk twill, and has hand-stitched rolled edges that have never been ironed. It is 34" square. The scarf is in exceptional condition. This is one of several scarves I purchased at an estate sale which featured dozens of them. I selected this one based on the design, artist, and condition. If you search for scarves of this design and quality on , you'll regularly find them offered up at This is priced to sell. I’m clearing out an accumulation of clutter, including other Hermès scarves and lots of sterling silver. Check out the other stuff I am selling at https://www..com/usr/gardanni .
