Jupe/chemisier/veste vintage Yves St. Laurent Bergdorf Goodman 100 % soie taffeta

Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Bergdorf Goodman 100% Silk Taffeta Teal & Gray Formal Skirt / Blouse / Jacket - Made in France, Paris Description: This is for a truly fabulous vintages Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche 100% silk taffeta shiny long skirt / blouse / jacket. Both the jacket and skirt are labeled as a size 40, which I believe to be the French size and based on my research, would be a size 6 USA. The gown skirt has about a 26-inch waist. Teal taffeta color with a gray taffeta over the front of skirt with ruffles down both sides. Purple sash that ties around the front is about a 5 & 1/2 inches wide. The skirt is about 44 inches long with a pleated gray border. Blouse is teal color with gray ruffled collar and cuffs and black velvet around neck and down front. Puffed at shoulders. Two snaps inside front and button outside. Comes with extra button sewn in to the attire. Sleeves measure about 23 inches long including ruffle. Back measures about 20 inches across from one seam to the other. Skirt has a clasp closure and zipper, both are in excellent working condition as seen in the eighth picture. Vintage piece with very minor wear. No tears or stains on skirt or jacket. However, while taking pictures my colleague and I observed three scratches along the hem of the skirt. At first, my colleague and I did not notice these scratches between the ruffles along the hem and how the hem reflects light. There might be more scratches but my colleague and I observed only three. Two of these scratches are seen in the last two pictures. Both pieces signed Yves Saint Laurent, Rive Gauche, Made in France, Paris & Bergdorf Goodman - as seen in the ninth and tenth pictures. The tags also indicate that the dress is 100% silk taffeta. In between these two tags are a smaller tag that has a "40" in red (not seen in pictures). As seen in the pictures, my colleague and I believe it could be worn as either a blouse or jacket - but was likely intended to be worn as a blouse. I cannot begin to stress the sheer beauty and unique design of the dress. Nor can I adequately describe the lovely layers of ruffled 100% silk taffeta.
