This is such a useful skirt by Yves Saint Laurent, part of the Rive Gauche line. It is made from a pale brown flecked wool. It has a side zip and hook as closure at the waist. It has a slim waistband of about 1.25 inches wide. Below that, is a fitted band of 3 inches wide that has horizontal rows of stitching. Below that, the skirt is gathered into the wide waistband so it is fuller. It hits below the knee but has a very deep hem allowance.
There is tiny brown piping around the waistband and deep panel as well as down the sides so at the edge of the concealed pockets the hips. The skirt is lined in an orange satin.
It is labelled Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. There is also a size label, 44. That will be a French 44 and vintage so please go by the measurements.
The skirt is modelled by Faye who measures 34-25-35. The waist is 28 inches, the hips 46 inches. The length of the skirt is 29.5 inches including the 1.25 inches waistband. The hem allowance is 4.5 inches.
The skirt is in excellent condition. The only thing of note is the button the waistband. It is a leather covered one, but the top layer of the leather has worn off. Otherwise, the skirt is in beautiful condition.
