This is a classic, black iteration from the early 1970’s. The Spring 2024 Saint Laurent Ready to Wear collection was an homage to the 1968 Safari Collection. This is an impossibly coveted, timeless piece that will always remain in style. Vintage Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Rive Gauche —the ready to wear division of the house through the late 90’s— black cotton Safari Jacket. The jacket is quite utilitarian. It has a long cut, ending just below the hips, and features deep pockets on the front. There are two pockets on the chest as well. Armpit to armpit: ~22 inches. Shoulder to shoulder: ~17.5 inches Excellent condition for the age. Missing the belt, which can easily be replaced. I recommend choosing a belt in leather for a quiet contrast of material.
