We can accurately date this to the late 1980s to early 1990s, for YSL burdened with debt after their court battle over Champagne, sold the parfums division to Sanofi Baute Inc, in the mid 90s & Sanofi was to print their name on the base of the box. This barcoded box still have YSL parfums to the base, & does not have Sanofi printed on the box

OPIUM was created in 1977 by Jean-Louis Sievzec  & became a runaway success from the day of its launch, it has had a few new interpretations over the years, forget what Opium has been forced to become, this is exquisite 

Top notes are mandarin orange, lily-of-the-valley and bergamot; middle notes are red myrhh, jasmine and marigold; base notes are amber, patchouli, opoponax and vanilla

Will be superbly boxed, wrapped & incased in foam pearls or masses of bubble wrap to ensure a safe delivery.
